Thanks for visiting, Garry! You aren't alone on Facebook. Even though it has 400 million visitors, I still come across a few people who really hate it and have left...and others who still don't know what it is (and these people are in their upper 20s/early 30s!)

I've sort of quit agonizing over hiding Twitter followers or deleting them, but I know your pain. The columns function in two apps have saved me some grief. I use Tweetdeck offline and use the online web app HootSuite. After setting up different columns to follow a user or a word/phrase or a hashtag, they auto-update allowing me to just ignore the regular stream.

I just found your site and have spent the last hour reading through some of your articles....great stuff

When it comes to the whole twitter/facebook thing, I have the opposite view. Facebook bugs the crap out of me due to the constant updating I have to do in removing the game feeds and status updates. With twitter if I don't want to follow someones spam I don't add them or if I find they're getting too spammy just delete.

have enjoyed what I've read so far....
